Last week when we were sprucing up the store window for Thanksgiving, Cristin (aka “ideas central”) thought up this great DIY leaf decoration project. She found a leaf she liked on-line and traced it to make a template. Then she cut the leaf shape out of scrap wrapping papers and card stock. I loved how they looked scattered all around.

Fall is coming to the end of its season and I wanted to get every last ounce of love in that I could while I still had a chance. Some Inspired fall treasures from Sukie are below. Treehouse perpetual calender- (you spin this little wheel and the month date and day change). Also love the cute sticky note set.

Other brilliant autumnal papers to note – acorn save the date and stationery set by Delphine and the fall colored note set by Morris and Essex.

Hoping you all have a happy, meaningful, and thankful Thanksgiving.

We got in these adhesive chalkboard wall decals at urbanic, and i have to say i was really excited when it actually worked! I put one on the wall immediately, messed up like three times and just wiped it off and started over. Also equally excited when I found these postcard party decorations via beautiful paper via once wed. – such a good idea !

I have never had a fancy desk set of stationery. We got these Elum box sets in at Urbanic and they are by far the fanciest most special box sets I have ever seen. The only thing that could top it is if you opened it and magic came out in sparkles. As if the cute trim on the outside of the box wasn’t perfect enough, the set comes with writing papers, various letterpressed cards, gift enclosures (and lots of other little paper bells and whistles).
The white envelopes with brown trim pictured in the box above was the inspiration for the contact page of the urbanic website. I feel like if I could have my own signature envelope to use till the end of time this would be the one. Someone at the store the other day said to me, “these would be such a great wedding gift!”
I said I agreed, but deep inside I was thinking more along the lines of “self gift”.

One of my favorite customers who has been coming to Urbanic from the very beginning came by the other day and dropped off a little package of homemade cookies she baked. This was such a sweet gesture that made my day (and Joshua’s mouth) very happy. I loved how she used the ilee papergoods labels I posted about here as a baked good tag. Thanks Dinah!

I originally sat down to write a post and let you know how excited I was that Moleskine finally came out with a color collection of notebooks called “Volant” that we just got in at Urbanic. In case you are unfamiliar they have only ever come in black, so this is big news.

In the process of gathering photos I discovered the coolest thing on their website! There is a page for people to share online what the inner workings of their moleskines look like. This is highly fascinating to me since I often wonder about this when I sell them. (people are addicted to them!) This is also neat because it is global project, and the creative submissions are from people in different countries. Below are a few of my favorites but you can click here to see more.
The owners of the moleskines above in descending order are Mark Joyce from Dublin Ireland, Zonia Szostkiewicz from Krakow Poland and Paolola Zampa from Roma Italy.

Joshua and I are enamored with Jay Kelly’s art. He just had a show with some of his new work at Commissary Arts in Venice. Here are a few of the pieces from his “Rawness & Polish” collection.

So much good news. First off, I finally have my computer back with a new hard drive! Secondly I am really excited to announce that I will be a resident guest blogger over at Brooklyn Bride! (in case you are unfamiliar- one of the best alternative wedding blogs ever). click here to see my post…
I wrote about some of my favorite peacock stationery at the BB site, but wanted to add a couple other faves here since I had a surplus in mind.

We got a shipment of new Orla Kiley at Urbanic yesterday and we were literally cheering when our UPS guy walked in. Unless he stumbles upon this post online, he will probably never know why.
These new cloth covered hard-bound notebooks are amazing. Definitely something you want to see in real life. All of the pages have a painted edging making them even more special.
Above are 2 of my all time faves. I think the tree thank you cards are only available at Anthropologie, but the cross hatch composition notebook is my desks’ trusty little companion.

Above are the four new designs for the A6 band enclosure notebooks. Each one contains, blank, ruled, graphed and perforated pages. How is that for sassy?

I recently got an email from Screech Owl Design, highlighting their line of hand drawn note cards, post cards and stationery box sets. I found these two designs below so refreshing and creative.
above: “autumn table”. (what’s not to love about acorns, sparrows, a mixer and a cupcake all on one piece of paper?!)
