I love pretty things that stick. This is probably why I had volumes of sticker books when I was younger. During that time, stickers were my life …oily, puffy, rainbow, scratch & sniff… I collected them all and remember that I was a bit possessive when it came to “trading”. In some ways stationery is to me now what stickers were to me then. I have collected it for years and when it comes time to actually sending it, i have a hard time. This post is about labels. In a nut shell they are stickers that accessorize stationery. A double whammy.

My friend Laure recently sent me the link to Stuck labels. I love that you can order these in sheets rather than pre-cut, making it easy to put them through your printer.

Creature Comforts is an amazing blog. She just posted this D.I.Y printable mailing labels freebie – which you can download here.

Paper Source always has a nice variety labels with cute shapes and colors.

Good find on Etsy, these proper little border labels by Two Girlz come in a huge variety of great colors! This minty jadite is my newest favorite color ( besides brown of course).

There are SO many things I have been wanting to write about lately, but sadly never seem to have enough time. This morning I was trying to decide between 3 different posts that have been brewing in my head for a while and got distracted. I ended up having to take some pictures in the store for a totally different project. Then I took a couple extra pics of things I am loving in the shop right now…. and it occurred to me – this is my post!

new note-sets we just got in from Secret Leaves

awesome calligraphy job that just arrived today from Laura Hooper for one of our lovely brides (who peeled actual birch for their wedding invitations)

Janean made this little display of pretty little things in blues and browns

the “browns” panel of the ribbon display
hmmm… I am thinking this was kind of fun and maybe I will do this every friday….?
Have a great weekend,

Does anyone else besides me have a small love affair with security envelope liners?
I always forget and am surprised to discover how cute the little patterns are inside of what is usually a boring piece of mail. I have a feeling that “design” was not really the goal of the manufacturers but whatever the case, it is one of those little things in life to find delight in when you least expect it.
Recently I was searching for something online and found sweetie pie press on Etsy. I was taken by her security envelope button collection and dug deeper to find out more. I then found her blog and learned that she collected these envelopes from around the world and used them for an art installation project. This is a fascinating read with lots of great pictures. click here.

I am feeling connected to colorful, bold, mixed prints this week. Possibly because spring is coming and it is light out later, or because i am feeling cheerful and optimistic about some things on the horizon….. or maybe for no reason at all.

super cute notebooks by erin zam • framed wall prints from crate and barrel • paper sampler by lovely design • wrapping papers by pikku

I have been working on fixing up things around the store lately, and part of my mission is to re-upholster some of the furniture. We have 2 stools in the front and a sofa bench in the back that need a little love. I went up to see my friend Karla at Patio Culture and was blown away at this new Trina Turk “arches” outdoor fabric that just came out.

I ordered some in the java color and definitely have a few butterflys in my stomach for its arrival into the shop!
will keep you posted,

A purple package arrived the other day full of interesting postage. After studying it carefully for a few seconds I proclaimed with several exclamation marks to everyone around me “IT’S DARLING CLEMENTINE!!” and tore into the box.
This was definitely the best parcel of the day because
1. it arrived from Norway
2. the purple packaging had blue polka-dots on the reverse side
3. look what came inside…

We got in a shipment of cards from Screech Owl Design and I found myself fixated on this postcard. The little detail of the Russian nesting dolls sitting on the old-school credenza reminded me of where our own babooska’s lived while growing up.
It got me thinking about how many other fun things I keep discovering with these little Russian cuties on them…

I have been sick for what feels like forever (and sill am) – so I haven’t been able to write for a while. When I saw that we got these little zip pouches in from Thomas Paul at urbanic, i couldn’t resist doing a quick post. I have always been a lover of pouches. I have tons of them and a few even have labels on them. They help me stay organized and create another reason in my life to have something cute laying around with a purpose. A few of my current pouch categories include- “receipts”, “store credits”, “pens/pencils”, “sunglasses” and “misc”

This collection is really fun, but I definitely resonate most with the parakeet. Growing up we had a bird that looked identical named Amy Blue.

I am Finally back from Florida. The trip was a good one, and I was able to spend a lot of quality time with my little one – which is the most important thing to me in the world. Before leaving, we celebrated his second birthday party. I really wanted to make it special for him since we were traveling when he turned one.

I decided to go with a bunting theme since the party would be held outdoor at a beach park by the marina. Tara and Darcy at Paperwink helped me put this adorable invite together (which is even way cuter in real life).

Cristin and Tess helped me make these flag banners for decorations out of scrap paper and ribbon and I baked “J” cupcakes with rainbow sprinkles on the inside.

I wanted Javin to be part of the thank you card writing. I think this is very important for children to learn at an early age. As we made them, I reminded him of what present each person gave him and he drew a little picture especially for that person on the back side.
