I can’t believe it’s May 1st already- yikes! It has been a very exciting week at the shop. For starts, the night we did inventory, Joshua hung our Urbanic sign in the bridal lounge- which brought me great pleasure.
Then we got a sweet package from Simple Song! I am so proud to announce that Urbanic will be the first shop to offer her amazing custom stationery line.
Next- the icing on the cake…. my chairs arrived!! As many of you know I have been very excited to have our stools re-covered. They arrived in full glory and I am officially a changed person.
The coolest of all Father’s Day cards have been trickling into our collection each day and getting us psyched for June! (just in case you are wondering I haven’t forgotten to highlight the cutest in Mother’s Day.. just saving up all of the treasures for a Monday post).

Happy Friday to you all!
Today’s Friday at the shop snapshots are of our “wedding door” in the bridal lounge. We converted and old door into a wedding invitation display and I have to say I love the crystal door knob as much as I love our invitation selection! The picture below it is of a gift wrap job JL did for a customer going to a baby shower. (she is standing proudly behind her masterpiece)

Brown Paper Packages tied up with string….
At 8.am this morning we had to do a Staples run to to get printer paper for the store. Joshua found me in the folder aisle, handed me this kraft squared notebook and said “Look!” At that moment my eyes popped open for the day. It was the last one in stock, damaged in the corner but it was mine! This was a great start to the day.
I then arrived at the store to find 2 fun packages on my desk. Package #1 was from Simple Song. She sent some adorable samples from her line that I can’t wait to get in at the shop. Package #2 was a kraft envelope full of colorful samples from Smock. At this point it was only 9:30 am and I was on design stimulation overload and ironically all of it all came in kraft packaging! Iinspired by the theme I looked around and snapped a few more pics of my favorite things.

There are SO many things I have been wanting to write about lately, but sadly never seem to have enough time. This morning I was trying to decide between 3 different posts that have been brewing in my head for a while and got distracted. I ended up having to take some pictures in the store for a totally different project. Then I took a couple extra pics of things I am loving in the shop right now…. and it occurred to me – this is my post!

I have been working on fixing up things around the store lately, and part of my mission is to re-upholster some of the furniture. We have 2 stools in the front and a sofa bench in the back that need a little love. I went up to see my friend Karla at Patio Culture and was blown away at this new Trina Turk “arches” outdoor fabric that just came out.
I ordered some in the java color and definitely have a few butterflys in my stomach for its arrival into the shop!

Last week when we were sprucing up the store window for Thanksgiving, Cristin (aka “ideas central”) thought up this great DIY leaf decoration project. She found a leaf she liked on-line and traced it to make a template. Then she cut the leaf shape out of scrap wrapping papers and card stock. I loved how they looked scattered all around.
Fall is coming to the end of its season and I wanted to get every last ounce of love in that I could while I still had a chance. Some Inspired fall treasures from Sukie are below. Treehouse perpetual calender- (you spin this little wheel and the month date and day change). Also love the cute sticky note set.
Other brilliant autumnal papers to note – acorn save the date and stationery set by Delphine and the fall colored note set by Morris and Essex.
