post No.521 M e r r y

I’m about to go on a little blog break to celebrate Christmas with my family and wanted to send out a special  “thanks” to all of you who read Parcel Post.  For those of you who are local, thank you for your support shopping at Urbanic. Seeing your faces in the store, and reading your comments on the blog, truly make having this business a fun experience.  Joshua and I wish you and your loved ones much goodness this holiday season in whichever holiday you may be celebrating.

Cheers to a bright 2011!

post No.520 holiday cards

We finally got our holiday cards sent out this year! They were a true labor of love. Not just from us to the recipient, but from my good friend Emily to me.  She completely helped me out this year since my hands were so full with the store and the baby. She designed it, directed production and helped us assemble. On top of this my mom spent endless hours helping me tie and tag!  In the end they came out perfect. The goal was to send something that captured the warmth and the comfort of the season.  The photos below were shot by my super talented sister Ana.  As I’m typing all of this I’m realizing how much this whole thing was actually a gift given to me from these three important women in my life.

post No.513 The Urbanic 2010 Holiday Event

To all of you who came out to our Holiday Event this year, thanks so much for making it sensational!  For those of you who couldn’t make it, here’s a recap of the night shot by the amazing Bonnie Tsang. We decorated the outside with paper chains and mini garlands and had our friends at Bash,Please add their magic touch in making things beautiful.  Our absolute fave Frosted Cupcakery delivered a fresh batch of eggnog, gingerbread, and chocolate peppermint mini cupcakes as well as there ever famous “high tops”. Ebony Snow Chafey from Snow and Graham made a special trip in from Chicago and supplied all of our guests with an abundance of adorable strips cut from S&G wrapping papers and hosted a paper chain workshop.  For those lucky enough to hang out with her at the table inside, she proved her paper expertise teaching folks how to make Swedish star paper ornaments. The night was completely enchanted and just cold enough to make sipping the Mariebelle hot chocolate a necessity as much as a luxury!

P.S. Ebony’s recap here
