post No.646 Jonathan Adler holiday ornaments (pt.1)

Happy Monday all! It’s raining here in L.A this morning. I’m actually enjoying it, because it’s giving me a chance to get caught up on some things i’ve been meaning to do.  LIKE …  showing you how cool these J.A holiday porcelain ornaments are that we got in at the shop.  (more from this collection soon this is only part 1. of the goodness)

post No.644 Yellow Owl Holiday Stamps

‘Tis the Season here at Urbanic! Hope you are all having a wonderful Friday so far.  Today’s post is on these seasonal rubber stamp sets from Yellow Owl. Since USPS discontinued the awesome pine cone postage stamps from last year, these fill the void in my life for pine cone stamping bliss.  Oh, and the mistletoe set speaks for itself.

post No.643 holidays from Dear Hancock

I’m really feeling the holidays today. We put up our tree at home last night and all the sudden everything feels magical. Thanks to all of you who came out to the Holiday Party on Thursday. It was a smashing success and I can’t wait to post the pictures that Bon took!  Below are some of my favorite holiday cards in the shop this year. They are hand illustrated by Dear Hancock and charming in every sense of the word. By the way, I’m listening to Pandora (classical Christmas station) right now and am totally giving it a thumbs up.

post No.642 Snow & Graham 2012

It seems fitting to post Snow & Graham calendars on my round up today since tonight is the Cocoa & Cupcakes event … and also because Ebony just arrived from Chicago and is standing by my side prepping the paper craft for tonight!  This collection is so fun – bright splashes of color in just about every single calendar format you can think of.  It’s no secret that I love S&G.  Apparently they love us too, because they are giving out bags o’ paper treats out to all of our guests at the party tonight. Oh yeah!

post No.640 our holiday window …

Things are feeling very festive around here at Urbanic these days. We just finished installing our holiday window and I kinda want to live in it!  Every year, my friend Em and I do it together as a little ‘kick off the season’ tradition. We were literally at the shop ’till 3am and she blew me away with her creative energy and vision for this winter wonderland. I’m so lucky to have her. Today we are crazy busy setting up for Cocoa and Cupcakes (our Christmas party tomorrow night). This year is going to be *a m a z i n g*.  Our line-up is off the charts!

See you there?

post No.634 custom holiday cards at Urbanic

I’m loving our selection of custom holiday cards this year at the shop. I mean seriously, look at this wonder printed on wood paper below.  SO awesome right?  The three pictured here are from Elum.  We also have a huge selection right now from our other brilliant designers as well.  Check out … WileyPrentisPica | AvieSpark | Paper + Cup (plus several more). Come in, or click those links for previews.  Just email us your text and photo if you want and we’ll get it all set up for you!

post No.625 fine day press 2012

I’m head over heels for the 2012 calendars we have in at the shop this year. We have a bigger selection than ever before and I’ll be sharing them all with you in posts to come.  Today I’ll get started with this particular one from Fine Day Press. I love how original the abstract watercolor illustrations are.  It’s hard to find one this unique that also has room to function as a write-in calendar. Another great feature is that these poster size prints can be easily converted into framed art once the month is over. So dorky to say, but it’s kinda like a 12 for 1.

post No.521 M e r r y

I’m about to go on a little blog break to celebrate Christmas with my family and wanted to send out a special  “thanks” to all of you who read Parcel Post.  For those of you who are local, thank you for your support shopping at Urbanic. Seeing your faces in the store, and reading your comments on the blog, truly make having this business a fun experience.  Joshua and I wish you and your loved ones much goodness this holiday season in whichever holiday you may be celebrating.

Cheers to a bright 2011!
