post No.577 best mail week of 2011

It’s been a crazy week trying to tie up loose ends before leaving for the NSS.  After finally heading out we experienced all kinds of travel problems which held up flights and turned our 8 hour trip into a 28 hour trek.  Needless to say we’re here now, safe and sound and excited to stock up on great new things for the shop.  The mail over the last few weeks has been insanely exciting. The invitations we received for this event are inclusive of all bells and whistles so as you can imagine I’ve been dying to show you.  Here’s a peek into some of what I opened …

There’s still lots more fun to be had.  I’ll be tweeting from the mountain tops on great finds from the show, so if you don’t already follow on twitter get signed up!

post No.570 greenroom

One of the coolest parts of living in L.A. is hands down the creative types of people you get to meet everyday. Since I opened the shop I’ve been lucky enough to get to know the brilliant folks behind Greenroom. We all know them. They’re that cool line of recycled stationery in the office section of Target. People think that because I have a stationery store I have no reason to buy another piece of this stuff. Total myth. I actually have lots of it and get excited every time Greenroom puts out a new collection.  That being said here are a few shots of their new release.

post No.567 industrial rainbow

How is it Friday already?  Below is some of my favorite eye candy from around the web this week. I’m loving the juxtaposition of the masculine wood grain stripes  and industrial green lockers combined with the bright rainbow spectrum of colors.

happy weekend all!

post No.452 wanted …

Am I the only one who gets a real thrill out of going to the summer seasonal section at the drugstore?  It’s kind of one of those things I look forward to every year (much like the “back to school” aisles).  Anyway, in the drugstore the other day I decided that I really want a fun beach umbrella. We always had one growing up but I’ve never invested in one since.  The time has come and it can’t be just any umbrella, it will of course need to be special.  –  will  keep you posted on what I find.
