post No.53 Ryan and Liz

Twice in a row, we lucked out with amazing neighbors at the previous little Venice cottage we lived in. It was instant fun when Ryan and Liz moved in next door to us. We cooked each other dinner, watched each other’s cats, and played board games often. With our basket pulley-system (which hung from a tree above both of our houses and went up and over our separating fence) we swapped things like sugar, beers, notes and pranks. Anyway, we adore them and they recently wed. I had to post because their wedding was phenomenal! It was so them, and so special.

Liz did her wedding invitations at urbanic. I first posted here when she came in because I was in love with her color choice. The wedding was somewhere high up in the Malibu Hills, looking over the Pacific Ocean and all of Los Angeles. We had to park and take a shuttle to get there.

The popcorn bag place cards were definitely a favorite detail of mine! Even more cute look at the back sides!

The reception was catered extravagantly with comfort food. A gourmet burger bar fully equipt with toppings, sweet potato fries and grilled vegetable skewers. For dessert, fresh out-of-the oven cookies with shot glasses of milk and an ice cream sundae bar.

It was such an awesome experience and so visually exciting. It got me thinking about how much I love the creative weddings of today and enjoy working with brides on the stationery details. So, I decided I am going to start posting more in the wedding category. If you are reading this and have some, I would love to see pictures of the creative details of your special day.

Email me here with your photos.
